Visual artist living in Chicago. Mellissa has a fondness for exploring narratives behind memory, and intimacy, using sequential art to encapsulate these dreamlike moments. She also enjoys good Food and good Wine, delightfully portraying the stories, experiences, and delicious flavors these things ignite her senses with. (She’s especially fond of Albariño, and light, funky reds.)

The city offers to her a jumble of vibrant architecture, people, and twisty alleys. When she’s not drawing, she finds joy in exploring her city and rediscovering her love for it over and over again.
